Little House in the Hebrides

This drawing was inspired by the landscapes of the Outer Hebrides and a little house on the Isle of Taransay. I was sitting on Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris just taking in the scenery looking across to Taransay when my eye caught a little house sitting near the beach far away on Taransay. It looked so tiny in the vast landscape so I did a quick sketch of the scene. When I returned home I could not forget the tiny house so I decided to use it in a drawing with the many little islands that are so characteristic of the Hebrides and the Hills of Harris in the background.
